Each bench kit wood build features a thick 1.5” solid pine top and is available in 3ft, 4ft, and 5ft lengths. This unfinished bench kit ships flat-packed. The bench top and legs arrive fully assembled, and you’ll simply attach the legs upon arrival. All screws are included, and pre-drilled holes make alignment easy. We also mark placement on the underside of the top, but you’re free to adjust positioning as needed—this is your build.
For longer spans (especially 5ft benches), we recommend adding additional support such as skirting or a center brace (like a 2x4) for extra stability—particularly for heavier use. Standard 4ft and 5ft benches are designed to comfortably seat two adults. Additional bracing is not included but can be added if desired.
Because we use real wood, expect natural characteristics like knots, grain variation, and slight movement. Minor variations in the top may cause slight unevenness, so we include leveling pads to help stabilize your finished bench. Additional furniture pads can be purchased at any hardware store if needed.
